Job Title: Offshore Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Project Engineer to join our team at Aggreko. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading technical specification and design for complex offshore applications, including power, load bank, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical specification and design for complex offshore applications
  • Design and build control systems for offshore equipment packages
  • Plan and manage 3rd party/FAT inspections, liaising with internal and external personnel
  • Carry out offshore tasks, including installation, commissioning, watchkeeping, breakdowns, and surveys
  • Support QHSE regarding offshore safety issues, including written procedures, legislation, and incident investigation
  • Assist with method statements and risk assessments for offshore projects
  • Carry out routine servicing of plant, both in depot locations and offshore, and attend onshore breakdowns and carry out repairs
  • Allocate plant to meet contract requirements
  • Complex fault finding and repair of all power products
  • Control of release and return of plant, and control of spares
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new plant and industry developments
  • Product development support as required
  • Act as a single point of contact for the duration of the project and manage project expectations
  • Plan own work, in conjunction with project leads, and effectively communicate progress versus key project milestones
  • Ensure all modifications and new designs are correctly documented
  • Assist and implement site design in accordance with Aggreko installation and commissioning standards
  • Deliver improved product design, including modifications as per clients' agreed specifications and implement document changes
  • Create thorough and accurate bills of materials (BoM) and support the sales, procurement, and engineering teams with any technical issues associated with the delivery of offshore projects
Requirements:
  • Technical capability
  • City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Good knowledge and experience with the installation, commissioning, and watchkeeping of offshore equipment packages, combined with the use of third-party document control systems
  • Full, clean, and valid driving license and ability to work out of hours as and when required
  • Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications
  • Well-organized and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
  • Able to manage a client's expectations when under pressure
