GIC Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Counsel to join our Private Credit team in London. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advising on and executing global private credit transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise on all stages of private credit transactions, including negotiation and documentation.
- Manage relationships with top international and local law firms to deliver superior services on a timely and cost-effective basis.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing sessions with deal teams and promote teamwork and collaboration among the LCD team.
- Participate in GIC-wide initiatives and projects as needed.
- Strong academic background and qualified solicitor or attorney.
- Between 3 to 7 years' post-qualification experience in credit team of a law firm or financial institution involved in lender-side representations for international Private Equity LBO financing or credit restructuring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively represent GIC in dealings with counterparties and LCD with internal parties.
- Outcome-focused and enthusiastic to support deals teams on intensive processes to achieve the best outcome for GIC.
- Highly proactive, adaptable to changes, and resourceful with drive and a strong desire to succeed.
