About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Volunteering and Community Fundraising Officer to join our team at Jerry Green Dog Rescue. As a key member of our Fundraising team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local communities, businesses, and volunteers to drive income generation and support our mission to provide a safe place for dogs without a home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a community fundraising strategy to grow income and volunteer numbers from local communities
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, community groups, and volunteers to secure support and promote our mission
  • Organize and attend local events to raise awareness and income for Jerry Green Dog Rescue
  • Recruit, induct, and train volunteers to support fundraising and other initiatives in the local community
  • Manage and oversee the distribution of collection boxes in your local area, monitoring and reporting on income generated
  • Coordinate and attend key local events, such as county shows, to raise awareness of Jerry Green Dog Rescue and drive support amongst target audience groups
Requirements
  • Proven experience in community and regional fundraising or volunteer engagement
  • Knowledge of local communities and a positive approach to work
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Financially proficient and comfortable planning, monitoring, and being accountable for fundraising budgets
  • Familiarity with sector trends and best practice methods of acquiring, retaining, and stewarding supporters
