Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing finance team, overseeing all financial operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decisions and growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team of seven professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and manage all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and analyse comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Optimise spending while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial guidance on business decisions and growth strategies.
  • Contribute to medium and long-term business planning through financial performance analysis.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial information systems and processes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar financial leadership role
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and commercial best practices
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite
  • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
  • Adaptability and willingness to support various business functions
