About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Care Assistant to join our team at Statham Manor Care Centre in Lymm, Cheshire. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred care to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life, engaging in activities and promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the efficient and effective running of the care home, working collaboratively with the care team.
  • Assist residents with their daily needs, including personal care, medication, and meal times.
  • Contribute to the daily records of residents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults, adhering to our company's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Care Assistant in a care environment, preferably in a residential or nursing setting.
  • Care certificate or equivalent, with a willingness to achieve this in the first 12 months of employment.
  • Evidence of good care practice knowledge, relating to the care of older people.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the delivery of care in a residential or nursing setting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team, with self-motivation and confidence.
