Position Overview:

Essential Qualifications:
- Must be reachable for appointment from the existing Civil Service eligible list.
Transfer Eligibility:
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of permanent service as a Clinical Psychologist 2 or in a comparable title for transfer. This transfer should occur within two salary grades of the grade 23 level.

In the absence of a valid eligible list, candidates may qualify for provisional appointment based on specific criteria.

Promotion Criteria:
The minimum requirement is one year of permanent service as a Clinical Psychologist 1.

Open Competitive:
Applicants must possess a master's degree in psychology from an accredited institution. The degree program should prepare graduates for roles in clinical, forensic, or community mental health environments.
- Must hold a degree that included a clinical psychology practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork.
- Two years of supervised post-master's degree psychology experience is required.

Important Note:
Qualifying experience in administering assessments, conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing behavior support plans, counseling, and treatment is essential.
- Experience should encompass various domains such as mental disorders, cognitive disorders, behavioral disorders, addiction, and forensic mental health.
- Degrees that do not qualify include education, counseling, hypnosis, human relations, and similar fields.
Ensure that you are not listed as an excluded individual on Medicaid or Medicare lists to be eligible for this position.
