About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graduate Land Surveyor to join our team at Dalcour Maclaren. As a Graduate Land Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting our clients across the Utilities and Infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys and collect data using Total Station, Laser Scanning, handheld GNSS, and Electromagnetic Location equipment.
  • Process survey data in line with departmental best practice and produce maps and plans to support fast-paced projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to obtain, manage, and analyze data from various sources, including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, Local Authorities, and Utility companies.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of survey equipment and organizational policies and requirements.
  • Work under guidance on projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships, and taking ownership of the standard of work.
  • Be commercially aware and maintain good records, including meeting notes, expense claims, and comprehensive file updates and records of activities to provide regular client updates.
Requirements
  • Great IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages.
  • Ability to manage a large amount of both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Be comfortable meeting people on-site, including colleagues, clients, landowners, and other stakeholders.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Have a full UK driving license and willingness to travel to site and project locations.
  • Be a team player and have a can-do attitude.
