About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team in Oxford. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial administration, reporting, and performance on large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment and manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
  • Produce and issue commercial notices, negotiate subcontract terms and conditions, and manage change in accordance with the form of contract.
  • Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain accurate site records and produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed 'Cost Plan', tracking and forecasting expenditure, and apply the principles of 'Doing the Right Thing' to maximise value and profit.
  • Collaborate with estimating and bid teams to provide contractual expertise and manage weekly progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Requirements
  • Good appreciation of standard forms of contract and strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities, solid knowledge of construction processes, and first-class time and outcome management skills.
  • Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member, working towards full membership, and relevant degree and/or experience in a commercial environment.
