Job Title: Commercial Manager

At Murphy Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our award-winning Energy team in Kentish Town, London. As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in leading our commercial operations and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all commercial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that commercial objectives are aligned with project goals.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
  • Commercially astute with substantial experience within a commercial role in the Civil Engineering / Construction Industry.
  • Expert knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract such as NEC and Standard Methods of Measurement.
  • Understanding of programming techniques and project controls.
  • Gravitas, relationship management on senior peer to peer basis.
  • Substantial post qualification experience.
