Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Reprographics Technician to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our reprographics room and providing high-quality document production services to support the educational needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reprographics Room Management: Oversee the reprographics room, ensuring resources and services are readily available to staff and clients.
  • Document Production: Develop and maintain systems for efficient document production, including high-volume printing and copying.
  • AV Equipment Maintenance: Manage IT peripherals, consumables, and maintain paper stock levels to ensure seamless audio-visual equipment operation.
  • Resource Development: Produce high-quality documents and assist teachers and clients in developing resources.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a consistent 'house-style' for all audio and visual materials.
  • Administrative Support: Support the Headteacher's PA with resources and printing of the Parent's newsletter, and ensure timely updates of the staff intranet and display screens.
  • Pupil Support: Collate information for and manage the e-distribution of the pupil newsletter, and support pupils and teachers with photocopying and reprographic tasks as directed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in operating high-volume reprographic machines and maintaining supplies.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to perform routine maintenance and simple repairs on equipment, familiarity with guidelines for licensed photocopying in schools (CLA Licence), and competence in setting up AV equipment for school assemblies and supporting the Performing Arts department with sound and lighting.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, a commitment to the school's ethos and equal opportunities policies.
