Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a student with ADHD in an educational setting, implementing individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of the student.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support to a student with ADHD, assisting with academic tasks and classroom activities
- Implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of the student
- Support the student in developing social skills and managing behaviour
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Understanding of ADHD and strategies to support students with this condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
- Work in an educational setting with a focus on supporting students with SEN
- Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required
- Collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours

This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
