Electrical Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at the Energy from Waste Plant in Bridgwater.

This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and a vitality benefits package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of all electrical apparatus, including High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, as well as C&I, instrumentation, and DCS at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify and resolve electrical issues
  • Develop and implement procedures for electrical system maintenance and testing

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including HV and LV
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
