Position Overview

ABC Teachers is actively seeking a dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing tailored assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) within a primary school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support an SEN pupil in Year 1 during morning sessions and assist a Year 4 SEN pupil in the afternoons.
  • Engage with students to promote their learning and development in a nurturing setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement individualized education plans.
Position Details

This is a full-time position with working hours from 08:30 to 15:30. The role is expected to continue for a minimum of one full term.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for the role, candidates should:

  • Have prior experience working effectively with children with special educational needs.
  • Be available for full-time employment.
  • Possess a relevant qualification in teaching assistance or childcare, although significant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an up-to-date DBS check registered with the update service.
