Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to lead our financial operations at The Boutique Chalet Company, a specialist operator of luxury ski chalets in the French Alps.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving all main financial and administrative processes, while also shaping the future growth and direction of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take overall responsibility for accurate and timely financial reporting and account reconciliation
  • Oversee and schedule a wide variety of financial transactions across multiple currencies and bank accounts
  • Process monthly payroll in both the UK and France, handling deductions and invoicing as necessary
  • Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting requirements, including tax returns and annual accounts
  • Help set suitable budgets for all aspects of operations using established models and historical data
  • Produce regular financial reports for internal use and for our stakeholders
  • Design and implement financial processes with financial consequences, ensuring suitable governance is in place to control financial risk
  • Oversee contract management for suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring contracts remain up to date
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of financial principles for accrual-based accounting
  • Ability to work at varying levels of detail while keeping sight of the big picture
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders and staff
  • Ability to communicate with people in France, with a willingness to learn basic French language skills
