Role Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to become a vital part of our Technical team at our West Midlands headquarters. The ideal candidate will have experience in the housebuilding sector or relevant consultancy work on housing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and report all engineering requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in producing comprehensive feasibility studies and technical investigations for Land Appraisals.
- Oversee technical and regulatory approvals, adoptions, bonds, and reimbursements, providing key status reports on all KPIs related to engineering.
- Facilitate effective communication and operational interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and site teams.
- Ensure all necessary utility, service, and supplier inquiries, quotations, acceptances, and approvals are secured.
- Support the delivery of relevant legal documentation for each development phase.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship-building capabilities.
- Proven knowledge of residential development elements such as environmental planning, ground conditions, foundations, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
- Awareness of relevant codes of practice impacting technical matters, including planning policy, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Familiarity with Construction Design Management Regulations.
- An HNC/HND or degree equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
