Job Summary

Gtd Healthcare is a leading provider of primary and urgent care services in North West England. We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at Millbrook Medical Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and receive patients and visitors to the Practice, ensuring a positive and friendly experience.
  • Assist and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service, using your excellent communication skills.
  • Process requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, ensuring accurate recording of details.
  • Project a professional image to patients and visitors, either in person or on the telephone.
  • Complete new registration procedures, ensuring accurate recording of details.
  • Receive and make telephone calls, diverting calls and taking messages as required.
  • Action repeat prescription requests and ensure they are ready for collection by the patient within 48 hours.
  • Provide test results to patients on advice from the GP or Nurse.
  • Accept payment and issue receipts for private services.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, staff, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies.
  • Act as a chaperone for general examinations if requested.
  • Maintain a general overview of the reception area and take appropriate action to manage difficult or aggressive patient behavior.
