Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our transport department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our drivers and transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the transport department, including planning, management, and coordination of transportation operations.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and databases related to transportation operations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, management, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the achievement of budgeted targets and KPIs.
- Direct daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for team members.
- Complete daily reports by the end of each shift.
Requirements:
- Proactive and able to work under pressure with a strong ability to react and respond to change.
- Flexible in approach to working duties and shifts worked.
- Resilient and able to thrive in a demanding and fast-changing environment.
- Proven track record of working within a transport operation, including a good geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom.
- Customer-oriented with supply chain/CFC experience an advantage.
- Good knowledge of transport legal responsibilities.
- Motivation to learn new skills.
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication skills with experience of customer relationship management.
