Job Title: Training Programme Director

As a Training Programme Director at NHS England, you will play a crucial role in leading the delivery of specialty training across the region. This is a unique opportunity to work with the Postgraduate Dean and Head of School to drive improvement in learner supervision, assessment, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Regional Training Programme, overseeing specialty-specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns.
  • Recruit to training posts and programmes, ensuring the right talent is in place to deliver high-quality services.
  • Manage postgraduate programmes, including assessments, progression, rotations, support, and remediation.
  • Work collaboratively with the NHS England board to achieve the organisation's purpose, including enabling local systems and providers to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
Requirements:
  • An experienced NHS Consultant with a thorough understanding of specialty training across the region.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.
