Role: Financial Strategy Partner

Work Arrangement: Flexible (3 Days in Office & 2 Days Remote)

The Lead Financial Strategy Partner will play a pivotal role in enhancing the financial oversight and strategic decision-making within our Underwriting and Schemes division. This position requires collaboration across various teams to deliver financial insights, facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Financial Evaluation: Perform or supervise comprehensive financial evaluations to aid in decision-making and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Budget Management: Spearhead the development and administration of budgets and forecasts for specific divisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the creation of regular financial reports and dashboards for leadership, emphasizing key performance metrics and discrepancies.
  • Month-End Processes: Supervise junior finance personnel in executing month-end activities, ensuring collaboration with Group Finance.
  • Collaborative Financial Support: Partner closely with operational teams to provide financial insights and assist in business initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior finance team members to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in financial strategy partnering, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAS & Power BI is advantageous.
  • Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Personal Attributes: Collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
