Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

Camlin Group is a global technology leader that operates with a vision of bringing revolutionary products to life for a wide range of industries, including power and rail, and also has interests in a number of R&D projects in various scientific sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize manufacturing processes for electronic components, software, and test equipment.
  • Lead a team of technicians to support manufacturing processes, including PCB analysis, tester hardware, and software deployment.
  • Ensure engineering change control is observed for software deployment and revisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes into production.
Quality Assurance:
  • Investigate and resolve any tester/software/electronic hardware manufacturing-related issues affecting product quality or throughput.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead deployment of shop floor data capture technologies.
Training and Development:
  • Train production personnel on new processes and technologies.
  • Provide ongoing support to manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to established processes.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to incorporate best practices into manufacturing processes.
  • Act as security champion and address operations security risks in relation to test equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electronics manufacturing, process development, and quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, SMT, and other electronic manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and design tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
