Job Summary

The Field Care Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to our clients in the community. This dynamic role requires a skilled individual who can effectively balance fieldwork and office duties. The Field Supervisor will oversee the performance and well-being of our care staff, ensure compliance with care plans, and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care cover as required, adhering to the weekly rota.
  • Conduct regular visits to client homes to monitor the quality of care being provided.
  • Perform spot checks, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with care plans, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Offer on-the-spot support and guidance to care staff, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date care documentation reflects clients' needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, serving as a point of contact for queries or concerns.
  • Facilitate staff training and development in the field, equipping care workers with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Provide emergency care cover when required.
  • Offer out-of-hours emergency support during the week and on alternate weekends.
  • Coordinate and schedule care staff assignments, ensuring optimal coverage and continuity of care.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for care workers.
  • Compile reports on care quality, staff performance, and client satisfaction, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the operations and care coordination team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Attend regular meetings, both internal and external, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • On-call duties involve answering and addressing emergency calls outside of office hours, documenting each call and action taken.
  • Mentor new staff members.
  • Conduct quality assessments.
  • Conduct service user assessments and reviews.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience assessing vulnerable clients in their own homes.
  • Familiarity with essential health and safety equipment in the community.
  • Professionalism and responsiveness in identifying risks.
  • Knowledge of local authority compliance and CQC requirements.
  • Champion of service user rights.
  • Experience in Mental Capacity Assessments, Care Planning, and Risk Assessments.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and proficiency in Word and Excel.
