Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevators, and other critical equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential maintenance issues and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Coordinate and supervise all planned maintenance, repairs, and emergency services to ensure minimal disruption to building operations.
  • Manage and oversee a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with facility managers and stakeholders to understand the specific maintenance needs and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage third-party vendors and subcontractors, ensuring their compliance with service contracts and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, equipment maintenance, and costs.
  • Review and optimize maintenance processes, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, preferably within commercial real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
