About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Gloucestershire, working with older adults in our Community Mental Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to support the mental health and wellbeing of our patients.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working with older adults and their families, and will be committed to delivering person-centred and psychologically informed care. You will be an adaptable and flexible team player, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to support the mental health and wellbeing of patients
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred and psychologically informed care
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to support patients with complex mental health needs
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and education programs for staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service provision and patient outcomes
Person Specification
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or equivalent Applied Psychology qualification
Desirable
  • Experience of working with older adults and their families
  • Knowledge of psychological theories and models relevant to older adult mental health
  • Skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation
