Your new company, Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join their team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals with varying needs, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a range of settings, including their own homes, community centers, and other care facilities.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage and support individuals to maintain their independence, participate in activities, and engage with their community.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to provide a seamless service, responding to changing needs and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in the social care sector, with a strong understanding of care principles and practices.
  • 20-30 hours of availability per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Qualifications such as QCF Level 2 and 3 are desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Driving is essential, as providing access to the community is a critical aspect of this role.
