Position Overview:

The Training Centre Operations Manager will be crucial in ensuring the efficient management of the centre's team, operations, and educational programs. This role involves leading the successful execution of the company's vision, ultimately fostering learner success and establishing a sustainable training environment for individuals requiring additional support.

The ideal candidate will actively promote the centre's significance within the local community and engage with key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the education and training centre team, aligning with the company's vision and curriculum.
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure the operational success of the centre through effective team management.
  • Develop and maintain strong local and/or national partnerships that contribute to the centre's growth.
  • Ensure appropriate support interventions are in place for learners at risk.
  • Participate in network meetings with referral agencies and local authorities to enhance the centre's support capabilities.
  • Manage behaviour within the centre as necessary.
  • Collaborate with tutors to guarantee high-quality education across all programs.
  • Oversee behavioural management and attendance tracking for learners.
  • Facilitate the learner recruitment process to achieve optimal centre capacity.
  • Effectively manage the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process to meet established targets.
  • Ensure timely reviews of EHCPs.
  • Act promptly on safeguarding issues and report to the safeguarding manager.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report findings to the Director of Youth Programmes.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to manage the centre's financial operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with families and young individuals.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Management qualifications at Level 3 (Desirable)
  • Quality assurance qualification (Desirable) or willingness to pursue
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above (Essential)
  • Experience in managing teams within an educational context (Essential)
  • Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualifications and experience (Essential)
  • Understanding and experience with EHCPs (Essential)
  • Background in further education, either with a training provider or college
  • Proven experience in managing administrative responsibilities to ensure operational success (Essential)
