Job Title: Data Centre Shift Leader

Job Summary:

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Shift Leader to join our team in Watford, UK. As a Data Centre Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our data centres, ensuring the smooth running of critical systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Shift Engineers to ensure the delivery of maintenance activities and the upkeep of data centre facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance of critical systems and services.
  • Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
  • Liaise with the CBRE EHS specialist to ensure audit compliance at all times.
  • Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with CBRE H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Electrician with recognised qualifications (apprenticeship, HND, C&G).
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations - essential.
  • Previous experience in operating data centres/critical environments - desirable.
  • Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S training.
  • Excellent contract/supplier management skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication skills at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and pro-active.
  • Confident decision maker.
