Job Summary:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Shift Leader to join our team in Watford, UK. As a Data Centre Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our data centres, ensuring the smooth running of critical systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Shift Engineers to ensure the delivery of maintenance activities and the upkeep of data centre facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance of critical systems and services.
- Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
- Liaise with the CBRE EHS specialist to ensure audit compliance at all times.
- Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with CBRE H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable.
Requirements:
- Electrician with recognised qualifications (apprenticeship, HND, C&G).
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations - essential.
- Previous experience in operating data centres/critical environments - desirable.
- Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
- IOSH or equivalent H&S training.
- Excellent contract/supplier management skills.
- Excellent facilitation, communication skills at all levels.
- Self-motivated, resourceful and pro-active.
- Confident decision maker.
