We are looking for a candidate with extensive clinical knowledge to provide strategic leadership across our Community Respiratory Services, which are delivered in both acute hospital environments and local community settings.

As a clinical authority, you will guide a team of specialized clinicians, fostering an environment of support and mentorship for both seasoned professionals and newly qualified team members. Your contributions will be vital to staff education and the ongoing development of our services.

Your primary responsibility will be to offer robust leadership and direction for the service, ensuring that we deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining strong team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to provide expert clinical nursing care, engaging directly with patients for at least 80% of your time. You will take a leading role in delivering community and in-reach respiratory care within Oxfordshire, ensuring that clinical governance standards are upheld. Additionally, you will provide professional leadership, consultancy, and training in your area of expertise to other staff members. Your involvement will extend to practice and service development, evaluation, and contributing to audits and research initiatives. You will also oversee the professional growth of the clinical respiratory workforce and serve as a deputy for the Senior Clinical Lead.

Additional Information

All new employees will undergo a 6-month probationary period, complemented by an induction process aimed at fostering a supportive working environment that allows new hires to learn essential aspects of their role over a reasonable timeframe.

Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 positions are required to complete numeracy and literacy assessments.
