Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Healthcare Support Worker/Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team at the Day Surgery Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting the nursing team, and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care to ensure the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Manage the pre and post-operative teams within the Day Surgery Unit, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Implement local protocols and standards with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting best practice and quality improvement.
  • Effectively manage resources within the department, ensuring efficient use of time and materials.
  • Participate in clinical trials and research, contributing to the advancement of healthcare knowledge and practice.
  • Deputise for the Day Surgery Ward Manager when required, providing leadership and support to the team.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to nurses and members of the multi-disciplinary team, promoting excellence in patient care.
