As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining an accurate Sales Ledger by processing customer receipts in multiple currencies and applying prompt settlement discounts.
  • Overseeing the collection of overdue payments, adhering to established credit control procedures.
  • Communicating with clients via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Preparing and executing Direct Debit collections.
  • Addressing invoice discrepancies promptly to prevent overdue accounts.
  • Conducting weekly meetings with various departments to ensure timely invoice payments and manage overdue accounts.
  • Generating aged debt reports and responding to internal information requests.
  • Assisting with accounts payable tasks, including vendor data management and control checks.
  • Maintaining customer master data and supporting customer risk assessments.
  • Monitoring and updating customer credit limits in accordance with internal processes.
  • Providing monthly reports to the Credit Insurance Company when necessary.
  • Supporting Sales Managers and Customer Services as needed.
  • Reviewing held orders daily and authorizing releases for orders exceeding credit limits.
  • Offering assistance to colleagues within the department as required.

Required skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Knowledge of credit control processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with invoice processing.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of audit procedures.
