Job Summary

DataTech Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Partner to join our Commercial team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and prioritize with senior stakeholders to agree on the value-add insights portfolio, directly impacting business decisions and performance.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, providing high-value, accurate, and powerful intelligence to inform business decisions.
  • Source and interpret data relevant to business decisions, breaking down complexity through storytelling to ensure easy understanding by stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and manage the workstack, priorities, and team capacity across Insight Analysts and Specialists.
  • Recommend innovation of new approaches to insight based on market and industry perspectives, data sets, analysis methods, or modeling tools.
  • Identify required data paths and collaborate with other Business Partners, Insight Analysts, and the Specialist team to source advanced research or analysis capacity.
  • Contribute ideas, options, and solutions to evolve the insight function's impact, value, and capability.
  • Lead a team of 2-4 Insight Analysts to provide powerful evidence-based insight outputs, building team capability, coaching, and developing team members to provide a best-in-class service to the business.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting a commercial division or commercial sales team, specifically where revenues were advertising-based.
  • Insight capability, with a proven track record and knowledge of insight provision and the activities that underpin strong insight and intelligence.
  • Business understanding, including industry sector, competitor activity, business pressures, market, and financial challenges.
  • Gravitas and confidence, with a strong track record of engaging with senior leaders and building long-term trusted relationships.
  • Influencing and storytelling, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, translate complex data to clear messages, and bring well-considered, high-value recommendations.
  • Collaboration skills, with the ability to build a collaborative environment within the insights function and across the business.
  • Negotiation skills, with strong persuasive skills to challenge leaders, drive wider perspectives, and agree a deliverable outcome.
  • Appetite to innovate, with a willingness to keep abreast of value-add and best-in-class insight methods, tools, and techniques relevant to business challenges.
  • People management, with experience leading a specialist team to deliver an accurate, high-quality, and effective data service to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Project Management skills, with experience briefing and project managing external research agencies or internal specialist teams, and project managing delivery timelines.
