Catering Coordinator
Salary: £26,500, Harrogate, working hours: 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, benefits include free on-site parking, staff discounts, subsidised meals, comprehensive training, employee referral scheme, well-being programme, blue light card, and DBS costs covered.

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Coordinator for a prominent local care provider in Harrogate. This not-for-profit organization excels in delivering care and additional services to the elderly and individuals in need. They prioritize employee well-being and provide essential meal delivery services to their clients.
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the daily operations of the food delivery service within the organization.
You will collaborate closely with chefs, volunteers, and the finance department. Your tasks will include preparing daily food orders for the chefs to cook and package, ensuring timely delivery by volunteers to clients. Additionally, you will manage all paperwork related to orders and coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate and prompt invoice processing. A strong interpersonal skill set is essential, along with a solid understanding of the catering sector and robust administrative and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all incoming inquiries
  • Provide information and brochures to potential clients
  • Assist new clients in accurately completing necessary forms
  • Maintain and update the client database
  • Follow up on inquiries, generate reports, and analyze trends
  • Deliver daily meal figures to the culinary team
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of food delivery services
  • Oversee daily volunteer schedules
  • Complete onboarding paperwork for new volunteers and clients
  • Assist in meal packing for delivery
  • Engage in business development through marketing for new volunteers and clients
  • Compile feedback surveys
  • Communicate with clients' families

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a catering environment
  • Strong administrative capabilities
  • Proficient IT skills, including Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
  • Experience in supervising or managing a team
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills
  • A personable individual, eager to assist and collaborate within a team
  • Experience in a care or healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory

This Catering Coordinator position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds as administrators, schedulers, coordinators, catering supervisors, catering managers, or activity coordinators.

Due to the nature of this role, an enhanced DBS certificate will be required, which will be processed and covered upon successful application.
