Director of Planning and Disputes

A leading consultancy in the construction disputes sector is seeking an ambitious Director to join their team in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with experts in a specialist disputes division and contribute to the growth of a premium consultancy.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in forensic delay analysis, expert witness testimony, and project planning. They will be responsible for managing and developing the planning and delay team, as well as controlling and reporting contractual obligations from procurement to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting forensic analysis in alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
  • Providing clear and impartial evidence for tribunals (ADR)
  • Managing and developing the planning and delay team
  • Controlling, managing, and reporting contractual obligations from procurement to final account
  • Determining schedules, monitoring programmes, and understanding risks
  • Writing reports for negotiations and formal dispute resolution procedures
  • Accurate assessments of progress
  • Participating in business development and generating work and clients

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project planning and formal disputes experience working with a claims and disputes consultancy
  • Experience in delay analysis job duties and writing narratives to a high standard
  • Expert Witness experience
  • Pre and post-contract Planning experience on large-scale, complex projects
  • Ability to produce programmes and schedules for live projects and interpret those written by third parties
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to contribute to reports
