Job Title: Childcare Solicitor

We are seeking a qualified Childcare Solicitor to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position that will involve working predominantly from home, with one day per week in the office in Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision, covering a wide range of Childcare legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake complex proceedings, including complex advocacy work
  • Represent the organisation and support the delivery of legal services
  • Provide strategic support to Elected Members and Directorate and Corporate teams
  • Support the development and delivery of Service Level Agreements between Legal Services and internal clients
  • Proactively manage risks and opportunities in the best interest of the organisation, escalating issues of concern to the Senior Lawyer and Principal Solicitor
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor / CILEX Lawyer
  • Experience within local government essential
  • Strong experience within Childcare and Family Law is essential
Benefits:
  • Up to 32 days annual leave (+ bank holidays)

Working Hours:
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
