We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Risk Management Assistant to join our team at Next Employment Ltd. As an Underwriting Assistant professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Underwriting team in managing professional and financial risks.
About the Role
- Assist and support the Underwriters in their day-to-day operations, providing administrative and operational support as needed.
- Ensure that all relevant underwriting tools are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with system account entry and maintenance.
- Build strong relationships with brokers and engage with them to obtain outstanding information and slips.
- Run ad-hoc reports as required to analyze the portfolio.
- Manage documentation and individual account files stored centrally for each team.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and the Underwriting Team to resolve any underwriting and account queries.
- Work with internal and external operations to ensure risks are processed and captured correctly in the system, and queries are addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- A genuine interest in insurance and a desire to develop a career in this field.
Requirements
- A-level leaver or someone with some intern experience or a 2nd jobber looking to develop their career in insurance.
- No graduate leavers.
