We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to provide invaluable assistance to a young adult in accessing community activities and healthcare appointments. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life while fostering their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany and support the individual in engaging with various community activities, such as walks in nature or indoor experiences like escape rooms.
  • Encourage and facilitate physical activity to promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Provide assistance during healthcare appointments, ensuring clear understanding of discussions and outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of the connection between physical and mental health.
  • Knowledge and empathy regarding anxiety and its impact on individuals.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport through gradual interaction.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Additional Information

This position requires a full Enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Disability North. The role adheres to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4, necessitating a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be female.
