Position Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager, your primary responsibility will be to enhance customer satisfaction and foster memorable shopping experiences. You will collaborate closely with the store manager to build a team that shares a commitment to providing exceptional service. Creating a welcoming atmosphere where each customer interaction transcends mere transactions is essential.

Your role will also involve supporting the store manager in establishing connections within the local community, including partnerships with other businesses and charitable organizations. You will assist in setting and achieving performance goals for the store and your team, ensuring that decisions made positively influence these objectives. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work alongside the store manager to evaluate progress and help structure the team for optimal effectiveness. Recruitment and training of team members will be part of your responsibilities, aligning roles with the store's requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the store manager to implement creative strategies that drive store success and develop a high-performing in-store team.
  • Assist in cultivating a customer-focused team that is enthusiastic about enhancing the shopping experience.
  • Participate in training sessions, provide constructive feedback, and observe the store manager's leadership to nurture a customer-centric team.
  • Lead a management team to achieve the store's performance goals.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to meet customer and store needs.
  • Encourage innovative thinking to achieve success while collaborating with your team.
  • Contribute to financial management by assisting in budget setting, driving sales, and managing staffing and inventory levels.
  • Maintain a visually appealing store with effective merchandising, cleanliness, and strong inventory management to enhance the customer experience.
  • Build relationships within the local community to enrich the customer experience in-store.
  • Engage in personal development through training opportunities and collaboration with other teams within Lush.
  • Create a shopping experience that inspires your team to consistently delight customers.
  • With the support of the store manager, initiate projects that foster positive changes and add your unique touch to help the store flourish.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
