About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bilingual Classroom Assistant to join our team at Plumstead Manor School. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to our EAL learners, helping them to overcome language barriers and achieve academic success.

As a Bilingual Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the learning of individual students and small groups in class. You will also lead small group withdrawal interventions, monitoring the progress of EAL students and developing targeted interventions to boost and accelerate their progress.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work across multiple languages. A TEFL/ESOL qualification and knowledge of best practice in meeting the needs of EAL learners are desirable, but training will be provided.

About You:

The successful candidate will have Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths and the ability to speak, and ideally to read and write in one or more additional languages. You will be a team player with a passion for education and a commitment to supporting the needs of our diverse student body.
