Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive news strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of journalists, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to produce high-quality content
  • Work closely with the Senior Journalists and Head of Programming to ensure that our news content is integrated with our programming schedule
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our news content is aligned with the company's overall brand and messaging
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior news leadership role, with a strong track record of success
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the radio industry and the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
