Hutcheon Mearns is in search of a skilled finance expert to become a vital part of their growing Insights team. This department is dedicated to business intelligence, enhancement of financial processes, and automation. We are looking for a committed individual to help communicate the advantages of our service line to a broader audience due to our expansion.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Head of Insights to cultivate the service line in the Central Belt region and oversee business intelligence initiatives for our varied clientele.

Key Qualifications:
  • Must be a qualified Accountant (consideration for experience-based qualifications)
  • A minimum of two years of experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Proficient in Excel with substantial data analysis expertise
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Client-oriented with a warm, diplomatic, and self-assured demeanor


The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on data modeling, ETL capabilities, and DAX proficiency. A solid understanding of essential financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, is critical for this position. The individual should be comfortable leading client discussions and effectively advocating for the Insights service.

Face-to-face client interactions will be integral to the role, necessitating regular presence in the Central Belt. While remote candidates may be considered, they must be open to traveling for meetings.
