The role of Lead Technical Program Manager requires a strong technical software development background and project management expertise, as well as a working knowledge of agile methodologies. This position acts as a bridge between the business and development teams, ensuring that product requirements, design, testing, deployment, and support are executed according to specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Translate product roadmaps into actionable plans, develop program schedules, and align goals with organisational strategies.
  2. Drive collaboration and communication across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  3. Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure program success.
  4. Effectively allocate and optimize resources across software development.
  5. Lead software development team meetings, establish KPIs, and track program performance.
  6. Manage changes in program scope and adapt plans accordingly.
  7. Define and enforce quality standards to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  8. Seek process improvements and conduct post-project reviews.
  9. Provide technical guidance and facilitate technical discussions.
  10. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  11. Build strong relationships and manage expectations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Experience in a Technical Program Manager (TPM) role, responsible for managing software development technical delivery of various products and projects.
  2. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  3. Ability to align technology product program goals with organisational objectives, and commitment to quality.
  4. In-depth understanding of relevant technologies and proficiency in program planning.
  5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to foster collaboration.
  6. Ability to motivate and guide teams and manage and mentor team members.
  7. Excellent analytical abilities and flexibility to adapt to changes.
  8. Lead critical projects and influence technical direction.
  9. Strategic planning, decision-making, and senior stakeholder management abilities.
