About the Role

CSS Recycling LTD is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts, and other plant machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Repair and Maintenance: Fix faults on plant machinery or arrange for replacements to be installed, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  3. Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular inspections on plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  4. Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding activities as required to maintain and repair equipment.
  5. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues with plant equipment, working closely with the operations team to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  1. Previous Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a similar industry.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in repairing mobile plant, lorries, and industrial equipment.
  3. Welding and Fabrication: Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques, with experience in working with a variety of materials.
  4. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
