About the Role

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Renal Specialist Dietitian to join our dynamic renal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for renal patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members and dietetic students, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of renal services through active participation in service development initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of one year of post-registration experience as a Dietitian.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and possession of a recognized Dietetics degree.

Desirable Criteria

  • Completion of relevant courses or certifications in renal dietetics.
  • Proven experience in leadership, mentorship, or training roles.
  • Specialized knowledge and expertise in the field of renal nutrition.
  • Experience in clinical governance and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
