We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN teaching assistant to support a SEMH pupil in a 1:1 setting. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programmes for SEND, as well as experience in SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care.

The successful candidate will be patient, kind, and supportive, with a nurturing and kind mindset. They will be flexible and able to work with children who require additional support.

The role requires the candidate to have knowledge of behavioural management and any other additional SEN/SEMH requirements. If you are passionate about inclusive education and have a passion for working with children, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a SEMH pupil in a 1:1 setting
  • Implement support and intervention programmes for SEND
  • Work with the pupil to develop their skills and confidence
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to the pupil
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans

Requirements:

Comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programmes for SENDExperience in SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral carePatience, kindness, and a nurturing and kind mindsetFlexibility and ability to work with children who require additional supportKnowledge of behavioural management and any other additional SEN/SEMH requirements
