We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Refuge Caseworker to join our team at Red Snapper Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality practical and emotional support to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, ensuring they have the foundations to live free from fear.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to clients in refuge and dispersed accommodation, focusing on their safety and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with clients to identify and achieve agreed outcomes, building on their strengths and support networks.
- Deliver and motivate clients to access community-based support services, promoting their independence and self-sufficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage risk issues, ensuring the safety of clients and their children.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external agencies, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and policies related to domestic abuse, ensuring a high level of expertise and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of issues related to domestic abuse.
- Ability to communicate positively and assertively with people at all levels, building motivational working relationships.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly women and children.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
