Salary: £26,451 - £28,907 per annum (pro rata)

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a College Community Support Officer. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in promoting social cohesion and integration among students, staff, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first response to incidents across the college site
  • Assist managers and staff in adopting a collaborative problem-solving approach to highlighted issues
  • Implement de-escalation techniques and restorative justice
  • Act as Safeguarding Officer for assigned cases
  • Develop and coordinate activities that promote social cohesion and integration

Requirements:

  • GCSE maths and English Language (or equivalent) at C/4 grade or above
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area (e.g. Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work)
  • Experience of working with young people and vulnerable adults
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, including Prevent and the Equality Act 2010
  • Experience of working with Microsoft applications, including databases
