R&D (Senior) Director Job Description

Nexperia, a leading global semiconductor company, is seeking an experienced R&D (Senior) Director to drive the development of next-generation Power MOSFET product families and technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of highly skilled engineers and experts in the design and release of industry-leading Power MOSFET product portfolios.
  • Develop and execute the future product roadmap, ensuring new product releases meet manufacturability, reliability, customer, and market requirements.
  • Act as a technical leader, providing guidance and coaching to team members, and collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading R&D teams in a semiconductor environment.
  • Track record of driving and delivering projects on time in a managerial capacity.
  • General understanding of semiconductor device physics, characterisation, and process flow.
  • Understanding of Power MOSFETs, including electrical operation, device physics, wafer fabrication processes, packaging flows, reliability methods, characterisation, and failure modes.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
