Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead our Community Mental Health Teams in Coventry. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for providing line management, professional supervision, and quality assurance to a team of Team Leaders, Approved Mental Health Professionals, Social Workers, and Community Case Managers.

You will work closely with our partner NHS agency, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, voluntary organisations, and other statutory agencies to support individuals with lived experiences and address the social determinants of mental ill health.

The successful candidate will have proven leadership and decision-making skills, a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, and the ability to recognise and investigate safeguarding concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services to individuals with mental health needs.
  2. Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of excellent services.
  3. Work closely with partner agencies to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
  4. Provide professional supervision and support to team members.
  5. Contribute to the development of strategic plans and policies to improve services for individuals with mental health needs.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Act.
  • Ability to recognise and investigate safeguarding concerns.
  • Excellent risk assessment and management skills.
  • Diplomacy, negotiating, and listening skills.
