Protein Design and Informatics Investigator

GSK is seeking a highly skilled Investigator to join our Protein Design and Informatics team. As a key member of our Data and Predictive Sciences department, you will play a critical role in developing and integrating advanced computational methods and predictive models to accelerate the discovery of medicines.
Working closely with a diverse group of data scientists, cheminformaticians, bioinformaticians, and other experts, you will focus on developing and applying predictive models for protein design and developability engineering. Your expertise will be essential in generating, validating, and integrating sequence-/structure-based generative AIML models for the de novo design and multi-objective optimization of tool and therapeutic biologics.
As a collaborative and innovative team player, you will work closely with external groups to further develop protein engineering computational methods. Your ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and lead or contribute to team projects will be essential in driving greater impact in the face of uncertainty and change.

Responsibilities
- Develop and apply predictive models for protein design and developability engineering
- Generate, validate, and integrate sequence-/structure-based generative AIML models for de novo design and multi-objective optimization
- Collaborate with external groups to further develop protein engineering computational methods
- Work effectively in a matrix environment and lead or contribute to team projects
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Structural Biology, or related fields
- Experience in protein structural or sequence analysis
- Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, C/C++)
- Experience working across scientific and technical disciplines to deliver impactful solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or applying modern ML architectures for sequence- or structure-based protein design models
- Experience predicting and analyzing protein-protein interactions and surfaces for design
- Experience analyzing antibody repertoires for sequence- and structure-based design
- Experience predicting structures of RNA or nucleic acid-protein complexes
- Experience with molecular simulation techniques
