Role Overview:
Assisting individuals from their initial engagement with services throughout their recovery process. Conducting evaluations, assessments, and creating recovery strategies along with referrals to additional services. Aiming to minimize the impact of substance misuse on individuals and the broader community. Encouraging involvement from caregivers, service users, and the community at large. Advocating for access to collaborative services. Collaborating with individuals to foster social reintegration, empowering them to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives by promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-advocacy. Researching, designing, and preparing educational materials for group sessions. Delivering structured programs in group settings for individuals at various recovery stages. Participating in debriefing sessions and evaluations with co-facilitators post-group sessions, assessing progress and addressing any concerns with participants. Customizing workshops to meet the specific needs of participants, covering topics such as anger management, sleep issues, relationships, and more.Candidate Profile:
Possess a solid understanding of substance misuse challenges and experience in a related field. Experience in facilitating group sessions and managing group dynamics, including conflict resolution and handling challenging behaviors. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficient IT capabilities. Self-motivated with strong time management and prioritization abilities. Familiarity with mental health interventions, services, and best practices. A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working alongside a diverse range of professionals and stakeholders. Ability to effectively manage change while prioritizing the needs of service users. Awareness of the significance of information governance and a commitment to adhere to all necessary safeguards. Eager to seek out professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills while contributing to the growth of others.What We Offer:
