Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Regional Civils team.

Location: Flexible remote working options available, with occasional office visits.

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time with flexible and part-time hours available upon request.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be integral to our collaborative projects, particularly within the Environment Agency framework and major civil engineering initiatives. Your contributions will support the commercial team in overseeing costs and contractual agreements.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Developing project budgets and cost plans, estimating material, labor, and time requirements.
  • Interpreting and applying contractual obligations and performance indicators.
  • Engaging in the procurement process, including drafting tender documents and evaluating contractor bids.
  • Reviewing project plans to ensure financial efficiency and value.
  • Meeting reporting timelines and assisting in payment applications and financial forecasting.

Candidate Profile

This position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • A solid understanding of NEC4 contracts, specifically Options A, C, and E.
  • Experience with standard contract forms and cost management practices.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, especially MS Excel.
  • Background in large-scale civil engineering projects.
